Our client is seeking an inspiring Childcare Tutor to make a real difference in the lives of young people. The role of Childcare Tutor involves planning, teaching, and monitoring learners’ progress, particularly supporting individuals with learning differences to build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.
Role Overview
The Childcare Tutor will plan and deliver high-quality lessons and enrichment activities, ensuring learners meet assessment criteria and develop the skills needed for progression. The role includes creative and engaging delivery, managing learner behaviour, maintaining records, and supporting pastoral needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons at Level 1 for Childcare.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans tailored to individual learners’ needs, including those with EHCPs.
- Track learner progress and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct 1:1 progress reviews and provide guidance to support development.
- Organise trips and events to enhance learning experiences.
- Participate in team meetings, quality reviews, and CPD.
- Uphold safeguarding, Prevent, and equal opportunity policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of client, staff, and stakeholder information.
Qualifications & Experience
- PTLLS/AET or equivalent (essential)
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (essential)
- Childcare Level 2 minimum (essential)
- Experience with learners who present learning differences (essential)
- Assessor qualification, SEN, or EHCP knowledge (desirable)
