We are seeking a motivated and professional individual to deliver high-quality training, assessment, and support to apprentices undertaking Engineering Apprenticeship Standards. This role involves working closely with both apprentices and employers to ensure learners successfully develop the required Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) set out within apprenticeship standards. We encourage applications from qualified Assessors and Tutors (holding relevant teaching and assessing qualifications), as well as experienced industry engineers who are looking to transition into a rewarding career in education and training. Strong IT skills and flexibility to travel are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess apprenticeship programmes using a blended learning approach (remote, workplace-based, and face-to-face delivery).
- Guide, mentor, and support apprentices throughout their learning journey to ensure timely achievement.
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including registers, assessment records, progress reviews, schemes of work, and evaluation reports.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the engineering and wider business teams.
- Promote and maintain safe working practices in all training and assessment environments.
- Prepare and submit reports and updates as required by senior management.
- Support learner recruitment activities, including interviews and enrolment processes.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of curriculum resources and training materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers, supporting work placements and industry engagement activities.
- Uphold company values relating to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Support the upkeep and safe use of engineering equipment and facilities where appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake any additional duties relevant to the role as required.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies at all times.
- Act as a professional role model, promoting inclusive practices and company standards.
- Complete First Aid training (if not already qualified).
