Overview of the Role
The Commercial Business Development Executive is responsible for growing commercial training sales, achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets, and developing strong relationships with clients to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
Principal Accountabilities
The Commercial Business Development Executive will be responsible for
- Generating business from both existing and new clients while meeting agreed sales targets.
- Maintaining regular contact with existing clients and developing long-term relationships.
- Identifying, following up with, and building relationships with prospective clients.
- Responding to and processing client and trainer queries as appropriate.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with freelance consultants.
- Working closely with Course Coordinators to ensure courses meet the required awarding body standards.
- Costing work accurately to maximise profit margins.
- Organising and rearranging courses when required.
- Using Microsoft Dynamics to add booking forms and prepare quotations, invoices and joining instructions for clients.
- Liaising with the Accounts Department regarding invoices and credit notes.
- Meeting with and presenting to new and existing clients when required.
- Liaising with the Vocational Learning Team to support the promotion of Apprenticeship Standards.
- Assisting the Commercial Business Development Manager with ad-hoc duties and projects as required.
- Working closely with the Commercial Administration Team to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of courses.

- Ensure that courses run smoothly, working closely with the Commercial Administration Team.
- Manage and coordinate trainers, ensuring that work is completed to a high standard.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Actively promote and support an empowered and open culture focused on success.
- Maintain open, honest and effective communication at all levels, ensuring clear two-way communication.
