Our client is a leading training provider specialising in high-quality apprenticeships across childcare and education. They work closely with employers across England to connect talented apprentices with the right workplace opportunities and help businesses develop their future workforce.
They’re now looking for a driven, confident and commercially minded Business Development Consultant to join their team.
The Role
This is a people-focused, target-driven role combining business development, sales and relationship management. The Business Development Consultant will build strong partnerships with employers, identify their workforce needs and create opportunities for apprentices to launch and develop their careers.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Winning new business through proactive sales activity, networking, meetings, calls and local engagement.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers and key accounts.
- Understanding employer needs and identifying opportunities for apprenticeships and workforce development.
- Matching apprentices with suitable vacancies and arranging interviews.
- Working closely with internal teams to understand each apprentice’s strengths, aspirations and suitability.
- Supporting apprentices through the recruitment process, ensuring they are fully prepared for interviews and employment.
- Acting as the key point of contact for employers, providing an excellent level of service and resolving issues effectively.
- Ensuring apprentices and employers are a strong fit and monitoring relationships throughout the placement.
- Making sure all employment and compliance requirements are completed before an apprentice starts.
- Consistently achieving or exceeding KPIs and revenue targets.
- Supporting account management, learner retention and employer satisfaction.
- Promoting additional commercial products, services and events.
