About us

At National Retrofit Limited, we’re passionate about improving homes and making a real difference in how people live. Based in Elland, West Yorkshire, we provide a full turnkey retrofit service, from whole-house assessments and EPCs through to retrofit coordination, design, and practical energy efficiency advice. What really sets us apart is our people. We’re a close-knit team of experienced Retrofit Designers, Coordinators, Assessors, and Advisors who take pride in doing things properly, supporting each other, and delivering work we can genuinely stand behind. We have secured several Warm Homes projects through to 2028. We’re growing, and we’re now looking for a Retrofit Assessor who shares our commitment to quality, care, and continuous improvement.

The Role

This is a field-based role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be out in residential properties carrying out retrofit assessments and EPCs, collecting accurate, reliable data that helps shape better, more energy-efficient homes. You’ll play a key part in the wider retrofit process supporting our Coordinators and Designers by making sure they have the right information to do their jobs to the highest standard. Just as importantly, you’ll be the face of our business in clients’ homes, so professionalism, trust, and great communication really matter.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out PAS 2035-compliant retrofit assessments in the field
  • Producing EPCs using iPad-based software
  • Gathering high-quality, accurate data for use across retrofit projects
  • Submitting clear, complete reports on a same-day, right-first-time basis
  • Working to daily targets while maintaining quality and attention to detail
  • Using internal systems to manage and complete your work
  • Taking part in training and development opportunities
  • Representing our company values in everything you do

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being out on the road, meeting clients, and getting stuck into varied projects.

  • Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification
  • Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings
  • Valid DBS check (CRB)
  • Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance

You’ll Fit Well Here If You Are:

  • Confident working independently but enjoy being part of a team
  • Organised, reliable, and detail-focused
  • Comfortable working in people’s homes with professionalism and respect
  • A strong communicator who builds rapport easily
  • Motivated to keep learning and developing your skills
  • Someone who genuinely cares about doing a good job, not just getting it done

Why Join Us?

We don’t just want someone to “fill a role” we want someone who wants to be part of what we’re building. You’ll be joining a business where your work matters, your input is valued, and your development is taken seriously. If you take pride in what you do and want to be part of a growing, forward-thinking retrofit team, we’d like to hear from you.
