About the role
We currently have an opportunity for an Xtra Local Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to join our team.
You will be responsible for developing profitable sales within your assigned region, achieving period and annual sales targets across both Delivered and Collect channels.
The role may involve working from multiple depots within your region, with a strong focus on growing delivered sales and expanding the Xtra Local customer base.

Responsibilities
- Manage Xtra Local and UAR customer accounts within a defined geographical area.
- Increase Xtra Local customer numbers while growing existing and new customer sales.
- Develop new business in line with agreed targets, with a strong focus on Delivered sales.
- Maximise sales opportunities across low-spend, hit-list, and lapsed customers.
- Build strong relationships with customers and depot teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- Maximise profitable sales while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
- Create a core group of key trading accounts alongside the General Manager.
- Maintain an effective journey plan covering all customers within the defined area.
- Ensure customers are kept informed of marketing communications, promotions, and new product lines.
- Work closely with key suppliers to develop joint sales initiatives.
- Achieve all sales targets, company KPIs, and objectives.
- Act as an ambassador for the brand and grow market share.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake any reasonable task required by the General Manager or Central Operations Manager.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrable experience and success in sales within the retail or wholesale market.
- Exceptional product knowledge and strong commercial awareness.
- Highly organised with excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems and processes.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Confident and effective relationship builder.
- Sales-focused and committed to achieving targets.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Ability to prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Confident delivering sales presentations to customers.
- Ability to train customers on ordering platforms and explain cost versus margin principles.
