About the Role
As part of the Campaigns and Events team within Marketing & Communications, you will play a key role in planning, delivering and evaluating a wide range of industry-facing events, including exhibitions, conferences, workshops, roundtables and webinars. In addition, you will support events delivery with the wider Events team.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring someone who is confident leading end-to-end event delivery, managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring every event is executed safely and to the highest standard. You will build strong relationships with colleagues, partners and senior stakeholders, providing expert guidance and delivering exceptional experiences for attendees.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable working independently and as part of a project team, bringing outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
About You
As a member of the Marketing and Communications Team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of events effectively and within budget.
Key responsibilities
You will identify and manage the delivery of events. This will include the direction of what events to come from the Corporate Marketing and Communications team, the National Challenges and Lead Generation team, the Channels Manager and the Head of Marketing and Communications.
You will ensure that work is agreed budgetsand timescales, maintaining a consistency of approach and use of appropriate business standards
You will also:
- Push backon events that don’t have value or strategic purpose, ensuring the EventsDeliveryTeam works on high quality and targeted events.
- Report onevent requests from the business, providing analyses of events requirements andtypeof support delivered for key programmes
- Plan andmanage the logistics of an event, liaising with internal and externalstakeholders todetermine preferences and establish budgets
- Assessevent goals and provide professional advice, expertise and leadership tocontinually
- Developand implement plans to deadlines
- Decide onsuitable printed material required to support events and identify issues earlyandensure they are resolved to continue to meet project deadlines
- Follow upon events by analysing feedback and making recommendations for new andbetterways of delivering solutions, services and products
- Ensurehealth and safety is a key consideration in all events, completing riskassessment formsand getting them signed off ahead of time.
- Provideall people management processes for the Events Delivery Co-ordinatorincludingperformance reviews for staff ensuring that they are completedon time and to company
standards - Responsiblefor taking reasonable duty of care for Health & Safety of themselves and ofotherpersons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work andalways follow directinstructions given with regards to Health &Safety.
