This is a fixed term contract opportunity (up to 12 months) based at NPL in Teddington, with hybrid working you will be based on‐site once a week. NPL sets standards for measurement science, and the Time & Frequency department works at the forefront of precision timing, supported by a £180 million government investment into the National Timing Centre (NTC) programme. The Talent Acquisition team delivers the future of NPL. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will lead recruitment for this world‐leading department, partnering with hiring managers, managing the full‐cycle recruiting process, maintaining agency relationships, and delivering a positive experience to candidates and managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the full‐cycle (360) recruiting process, including job postings, candidate relationships, interview arrangements and offer management.
- Partner with hiring managers as a strategic recruitment advisor, delivering high‐quality candidate pipelines.
- Track and manage multiple recruitment processes, maintaining pace, organisation, and process adherence.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external suppliers, managing agency relationships and aligning with recruitment plans.
- Deliver thoughtful feedback to candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a nurturing and engaging experience.
- Maintain awareness of market trends and ensure recruitment activity aligns with internal processes and guidelines.
About You – Essential Requirements
- Proven experience delivering full‐cycle recruitment, from role design to offer closing.
- In‐house recruitment experience, with a consultative approach and ability to engage senior business leaders.
- Direct sourcing, proactive headhunting and passive candidate engagement for niche and specialist roles.
- Strong organisational skills, managing multiple recruitment processes in a fast‐paced environment while maintaining quality and detail.
- Success in managing both candidate and hiring manager relationships, influencing decisions and building credible professional relationships at all levels.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and accurate data management.
- Strong team player.
Security Clearance
To work in this role in the Time and Frequency department, you must have an SC clearance with no restrictions, or the ability to obtain an SC clearance. Applicants may also need BPSS clearance depending on the role.
