This role supports the development and delivery of initiatives that strengthen NPL’s security culture and reduce human‑related risk across cyber, physical, and people domains. With focus on creating engaging awareness content, delivering training, and providing expertise on human‑related security risks to help colleagues understand and manage security threats effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver security awareness and culture activities that align with NPL’s values, security policies, and risk priorities.
- Create engaging content for campaigns, e-learning, workshops, and communications to make security relatable and actionable.
- Support the design and delivery of targeted interventions to address gaps in security knowledge and behaviours.
- Maintain and update “just‑in‑time” learning resources to complement mandatory training and reduce risk of human error.
- Tailor awareness materials for different roles, risk profiles, and business areas.
- Assist in tracking and reporting metrics to measure the effectiveness of awareness initiatives and behavioural change.
- Provide subject matter expertise on human risk management, social engineering, and behavioural science principles.
- Collaborate with corporate functions (People, Communications, IT, Assurance) to ensure consistent messaging and alignment.
- Stay informed on best practices in security awareness, learning methodologies, behavioural change, and human risk reduction.
- Responsible for taking reasonable duty of care for Health & Safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and always follow direct instructions given with regards to Health & Safety.

- Interest in cyber security and how human behaviour influences risk.
- Understanding of, or strong interest in, human behaviour, psychology, behavioural science, learning, communications, or a related field.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain security topics clearly and accessibly.
- Creativity in developing engaging awareness content, training materials, or campaigns.
- Ability to analyse information and contribute to targeted interventions and improvement activities.

- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
- A proactive mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering training, awareness, or behaviour‑change initiatives.

- Background in psychology, behavioural science, learning and development, communications, or change management.
- Experience supporting reporting, metrics, or evaluation of awareness activities.
Security Clearance
