About the Role
- As the interim Corporate Communications Leader you will be responsible for guiding, coaching and managing a team of communications specialists covering press and media interactions, digital content creation for web and social media, schools and public engagement, and corporate documentation creation.
- You will set the Corporate Communications strategy and ensure stakeholders across the organisation are aware of the role and function Corporate Communications plays in getting vital scientific stories into the public domain.
- You will be adept at reputation management including communicating in a crisis, as well as brand management, and will be the go-to person to inform and advise on the best approach to managing NPL’s external profile.
About You
- An experienced communicator who stays updated on the latest developments in communications practices and can advise and support their team in implementing these.
- An experienced leader with extensive line manager and coaching experience.
- An understanding of how to lead the development and continuous improvement of communications for an organisation.
- A proven track record in managing a portfolio of projects and initiatives of varying complexity with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and influence key decision making.
- Responsible for taking reasonable duty of care for Health & Safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and always follow direct instructions with regards to Health & Safety.
