Advice and Support Pharmacist
Location: St Albans
Are you a passionate pharmacist with a strong understanding of community pharmacy practice and a desire to support the profession at a national level?
The NPA is seeking an Advice and Support Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Advice and Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert professional advice to community pharmacy teams, help develop high-quality guidance and resources, and contribute to shaping support for the sector.
The role
- Provide professional advice and support to pharmacy teams via telephone, email and other channels
- Research and develop pharmacy guidance, training resources, SOPs and risk assessments
- Keep members informed on emerging clinical, regulatory, legal and business developments
- Deliver presentations, webinars and training sessions
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to support projects and service development
Key facts:
Hybrid-working pattern: Home working blended with at least 1 day per week working at the NPA’S Head Office, just outside of London.
Availability: Start 1 November 2026.
The candidate
Your key attributes:
Essential:
- Registered pharmacist with the GPhC
- Experience working in community pharmacy and delivering pharmacy services
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice, medicines legislation, NHS services and professional standards
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
- Highly organised, collaborative and committed to delivering excellent member support
Desirable:
- Experience in pharmacy support or advisory role
- Using digital tools for communication or content creation
- Experience in mentoring, team coordination, or project work
- Independent Prescriber qualification
