About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Sales Engineer to join our technical sales team and support our growing customer base. In this role, you will work closely with senior sales engineers and account executives, providing technical expertise during the sales process and helping customers understand how NOV solutions address their specific challenges.

This position offers excellent learning opportunities, allowing you to develop both technical depth in our products and commercial skills in solution selling. You will be responsible for preparing technical proposals, processing orders, and contributing to the overall success of the sales organization while building a strong foundation for long-term career growth in sales.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, customer service, and engineering to ensure customer needs are met and sales objectives achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Learn and develop a deep understanding of our product range.
  • Support pre-sales activities including RFP responses and technical questionnaires.
  • Conduct basic technical discovery calls with prospects to understand requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, proposals, and sales materials.
  • Answer calls and emails from industrial clients and provide required support.
  • Prepare quotations and process orders regularly.
  • Collaborate with product teams to communicate customer feedback and feature requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and requirements in CRM.

  • Support customer onboarding and implementation processes post-sale.
  • Fully office-based role supporting sales.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified to Level 3 NVQ, HNC, BTEC, or related technical field – ensures foundational technical knowledge.
  • Experience in technical roles, sales, or customer-facing positions – demonstrates ability to adapt and learn quickly.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn complex products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of B2B sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Customer service orientation with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Previous internship or experience in technical sales, solution engineering, or similar roles.
