About the Role
The Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment and facilities at our Glenrothes site. As part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining CNC machinery, automated welding systems, and associated production equipment. This role combines hands‑on maintenance work with continuous improvement initiatives. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, and support optimisation of equipment performance to maximise uptime. Success in this role requires strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset toward safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on CNC machines, automated welding systems, and plant equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime and ensure production continuity
- Respond to breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure all equipment complies with statutory regulations and internal safety standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work performed and downtime reporting
- Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment
- Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
