Are you a skilled Fabricator/Welder looking to advance your career in a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment? Join our fabrication team in Peterhead and be at the forefront of fabricating and welding innovative designs, installation framework and transportation frames. You will work with advanced machinery, interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints and contribute to high-quality production output. Your role is crucial to our success, and you will have the opportunity for ongoing training and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication Expertise: Be fully conversant with the company's fabricated products and proficient in interpreting and working from engineering and fabrication drawings.
  • Welding Proficiency: Utilize and maintain proficiency in all welding equipment and techniques used in the Fabrication Shop, including achieving or maintaining stick and solid wire welding qualifications.
  • Assembly & Quality Control: Assemble component parts with a focus on high-quality output, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Hand Tool Skills: Demonstrate expertise in using various hand tools provided during training, contributing to precise and efficient fabrication.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of systems, working practices, and processes within the manufacturing environment.
  • Problem Solving: Actively participate in resolving assembly, production, and drawing-related issues, while effectively reporting any HSE or productivity concerns through the proper channels.
  • Preventative Maintenance & Housekeeping: Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area in compliance with safety standards.
  • Resource Efficiency: Minimise waste by efficiently using and disposing of raw materials and consumables.
  • Knowledge Development: Continuously develop your knowledge of all major production plant and equipment throughout the company.
  • Compliance & Support: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, and support other departments as required to meet business needs.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques, with the ability to interpret fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding materials and processes according to ASME standards.
  • Retained coding in various welding disciplines.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in delivering manufacturing projects.
  • Experience with a range of materials and welding disciplines.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and apply technical information.
