Electrician (Great Yarmouth)

Qualified Electrician to work on new ATEX offshore equipment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work under to Electrical schematics
• Understanding of the following disciplines would be an advantage, however training can be provided: ATEX compliance; CTES data acquisition hard/software; Use of small power tools including bench and hand grinders and general workshop equipment
• Work on the building of new mobile offshore units including the installation of: Exed enclosure; Exed Glands; Exed Instrumentation; Wiring units to ATEX specifications; Installing cabling, lighting & switch gear; Control panel installation
• Adopt and follow safe working practise at all times
• Contribute to the improvement of working practise and unit manufacture through own ideas and initiative
• Use of PPE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• City & Guilds accredited training course in Electrical subject (essential)

EXPERIENCE:

• Working knowledge within a similar role (essential)
• ATEX installation work (desirable)

SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (essential)
• Basic Health & Safety Awareness (essential)
• Competence In Associated Electronics Technology (desirable)
