National Museums Northern Ireland is an ambitious organisation delivering award-winning museum services. The Ulster American Folk Park at Castletown, Omagh is an outdoor museum designed to tell the story of the great waves of emigrants who left Ulster for the New World in the 18th and 19th centuries and of the contribution they made to the USA throughout the whole period of its birth and development.
Through its unique display of outdoor exhibits featuring many original buildings such as the ancestral homes of Thomas Mellon, John Joseph Hughes and Hugh and Robert Campbell, the Ulster American Folk Park depicts the varied aspects of emigrant life and experience on both sides of the Atlantic in the 18th and 19th centuries.
We are looking for an Assistant Visitor Services Manager to provide day to day leadership and management of the visitor services team, ensuring the delivery of excellent visitor experience and service standards to all visitors and users of the Ulster American Folk Park. The post holder will provide visible front of house leadership to ensure the quality of the visitor end to end experience and presentation of the museum through continued interface with audiences and staff.
