This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in how we plan and deliver our work. As Procurement Advisor, you’ll take ownership of a broad and varied procurement portfolio, supporting a wide range of projects from exhibitions to operational services, helping ensure our procurement is effective, compliant and delivers real value. You’ll work with colleagues across the Museum, applying your expertise, building strong working relationships and contributing to continuous improvement in procurement delivery. This is a varied and impactful role, giving you great visibility and the chance to make a genuine impact in a nationally significant cultural organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing procurement activities from start to finish, through to contract award.
- Working closely with teams across the museum to plan the best procurement approach.
- Making sure procurement is practical, compliant, transparent and delivers value.
- Building strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in how we deliver procurement.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience of procurement (ideally in a public sector or regulated environment).
- A good understanding of public sector procurement principles, regulations and best practice.
- Managing end-to-end procurement processes.
- Awareness of commercial considerations and the ability to identify and manage risk.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with good attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with different stakeholders.
- The ability to manage your workload and work across a range of projects.
