National Merchandise, a division of the Nottingham Ice Centre Limited, works in some of the UK’s biggest venues, including the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, The O2 London, AO Manchester, OVO Hydro Glasgow, M&S Bank Liverpool, 3 Arena Dublin and SSE Arena Belfast. We also collaborate with major non-venue and festival organisers, bringing merchandise to music and entertainment fans at events such as Download, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Isle of Wight, British Summer Time, Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, Electric Picnic, Leeds & Reading festivals and many more.
We are looking for Retail Merchandise Assistants with a knack for retail, to primarily work in the Merch Store at The O2, located in the Outlet Shopping District of The O2. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working in retail, often in a fast-paced environment. They should be able to work independently, with some lone trading on non-event days.
On a regular day, the store has a catalogue of over 1500 individual products, so retail, warehousing or stocktaking experience is absolutely essential. Previous experience as a retail keyholder would be an advantage. The candidate will also be expected to fulfil some shifts in the Merchandise team as part of their training, to understand the wider merchandise operation within the venue.
Paid training shifts in February, with an aim to start in March on a casual basis. Typical shift hours are 09:00 – 17:00 or 13:00 – 21:00, although flexibility is key.
At the Nottingham Ice Centre Ltd, our people and those around us are at the heart of what we do and how we behave. By working together and having the determination and drive to succeed, we can ensure we deliver outstanding service and create everlasting memories for everyone we reach.
