The predicted salary is between 60000 - 84000 £ per year.
Ongoing role, 3 months in first instance, to be extended if mutually agreed.
Mon – Fri, 9-17. 1 in 4 telephone on-call commitment with onsite commitment weekends.
Candidates not on specialist register will be considered too.
The postholder will participate in the provision of a comprehensive clinical medical microbiology and infection prevention & control service across the Trust, including:
- Advice regarding appropriate specimens;
- Involvement in specimen analysis;
- Validation and interpretation of results for transmission to clinical users;
- Involvement in the management of individual patients through full clinical liaison;
- Provision of antibiotic advice;
- Support for a programme of antibiotic stewardship;
- Provision of advice and guidance on infection prevention & control.
To participate in an on-call rota for the provision of an out of hours microbiology and infection prevention & control advisory service across 2 hospitals in the Trust.

Negotiable pay terms depending on experience.
