About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Haematology to join our team in the West Midlands. This role is a fixed-term contract starting from 17th June 2024 to 20th December 2024, with a view to extend. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 with an on-call commitment of 1:5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 4 clinics per week.
- Allocate 1 session for administrative duties.
- Perform 1 lab session per week.
- Participate in 1 session for ward and cancer MDT sessions.
- Conduct 1 ward session per week.
- Dedicate 2 sessions for prescribing, admin, and daytime on-call duties.
- Every fourth week, cancel clinics to focus on ward and inpatient duties.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- CCT in Haematology or equivalent.
- Significant experience in Haematology at the consultant level.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
