We are currently recruiting a motivated and experienced Specialty Registrar (SpR) in Cardiology to join a reputable cardiology department within a well-established hospital in Northern Ireland . This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with strong cardiology experience to develop specialist skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of inpatient and outpatient cardiology services

  • Assist in managing acute and elective cardiology cases, including coronary care unit patients

  • Perform and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations (e.g., ECGs, echocardiography, stress testing)

  • Participate in on-call duties for general medicine or cardiology as required

  • Contribute to ward rounds, MDTs, and audit/QI projects

  • Support teaching of junior doctors and medical students

Essential Criteria:

  • Full GMC registration with licence to practise

  • Minimum 4 years postgraduate clinical experience, including relevant cardiology exposure

  • Completion of Core Medical Training (CMT/IMT) or equivalent

  • Eligibility to work in the UK

  • ALS certification

Desirable:

  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent

  • Previous experience working at registrar level in Cardiology

  • Interest in subspecialty areas such as heart failure, interventional cardiology, or imaging
