As a Critical Care Day Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients with critical and complex health needs. You will work in a fast-paced, supportive environment, providing expert nursing care, monitoring patients’ conditions, and ensuring their comfort and safety during the day shift.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and coordinate individualised patient care within the Critical Care unit, focusing on assessment, treatment, and monitoring of critically ill patients.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement and evaluate care plans based on patients’ needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families, providing reassurance and information on treatment plans.
- Contribute to a safe and positive environment by adhering to safety policies, infection control measures, and best practices.
Requirements:
- NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult) with experience in Critical Care or similar high-dependency units.
- PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership with Disclosure Scotland or willingness to obtain it.
- Proven experience in a critical care setting with strong clinical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure while providing compassionate patient-centred care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
