An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist with a specialist interest in CAMHS to join a dedicated and supportive team in Scotland. This full-time locum role is available for an immediate start and will run for an initial period of 6 months, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents within a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Conduct assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Offer clinical leadership and support to junior medical staff and other professionals
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and community services to ensure holistic patient care

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practise
  • Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a similar consultant role within CAMHS
