As a Neonatal Nurse, you will play a crucial role in caring for premature and ill newborns in our neonatal unit. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will provide specialised care to infants and support to their families during what can be a challenging time. Your responsibilities will include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing education and emotional support to parents.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to neonates following established protocols and standards of care.
- Monitor and assess the health status of newborns, including vital signs, feeding, and respiratory status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Educate and support parents in caring for their newborn, including breastfeeding support and infant care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the UK.
- Previous experience in neonatal nursing is required.
- BLS and NLS certification required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
