Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant or experienced SpR Psychiatrist with a specialist interest in Addictions to join a forward-thinking service. This full-time locum role is available for an immediate start and will run for an initial period of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality psychiatric care to individuals with substance misuse disorders
  • Conduct assessments, risk evaluations, and develop individual treatment plans
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, and social workers
  • Support harm reduction, detoxification, and rehabilitation programs
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with governance standards

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practise
  • CCT or significant experience in Addictions Psychiatry (SpR level considered)
  • Strong understanding of substance misuse treatment models
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
