We are seeking a dedicated Consultant or experienced SpR Psychiatrist with a specialist interest in Addictions to join a forward-thinking service. This full-time locum role is available for an immediate start and will run for an initial period of 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality psychiatric care to individuals with substance misuse disorders
- Conduct assessments, risk evaluations, and develop individual treatment plans
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, and social workers
- Support harm reduction, detoxification, and rehabilitation programs
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with governance standards
Requirements:
- Full GMC registration with a license to practise
- CCT or significant experience in Addictions Psychiatry (SpR level considered)
- Strong understanding of substance misuse treatment models
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
