About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Consultant in Stroke Medicine to join our team in Yorkshire. This is a fixed-term contract from 1st July 2024 to 30th September 2024, with potential for extension. The role requires Monday to Friday work hours from 09:00 to 17:00. On-call responsibilities will be discussed at the point of booking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical care and management for stroke patients.
- Lead stroke service development and implementation of best practices.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and stroke MDTs.
- Conduct outpatient clinics and follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate closely with neurology, radiology, and rehabilitation services.
- Mentor and support junior medical staff and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- CCT in Stroke Medicine or equivalent.
- Substantial experience in Stroke Medicine at the consultant level.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
