We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS to join a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior medical leadership within the CAMHS team
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans
- Manage a caseload of children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
- Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff and the wider MDT
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and safeguarding processes
- Liaise with external agencies including schools, social services, and community organisations
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry would be desirable
- Significant experience working within CAMHS settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision‑making skills
- Section 12/22 approval and Approved Clinician status (Depending on area of the UK)
