Job Opportunity: Microbiology Consultant
On behalf of a reputable hospital in North Midlands, we are seeking an experienced Microbiology Consultant to join a friendly department for an initial period of up to 6 months. This is an ongoing locum role with the possibility of extension.
Role Details:
- Rota with on-call duties: The microbiology on-call service covers a 24-hour period outside of regular working hours. The shifts are from 4pm to 8am, Monday to Thursday, and from 4pm Friday to 8am Monday. Each organization is responsible for providing their sessions on a 1:5 rota.
Location: Great location with local accommodation available if needed. Easily accessible by public transport and car.
Requirements:
- GMC registration; entry on the specialist register is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Minimum 1 year of NHS experience at SPR or Consultant level, with the ability to work independently.
- Escalated pay rates above the average are possible.
