The working pattern is Monday to Thursday 3 hours 48 mins (06:00am start time) at Lawnmarket and Saturday 7 hours 36 mins (07:00am start time) at George IV Bridge.

Our cleaning staff ensure the cleanliness and housekeeping of our public and back of house spaces. This role involves bending, lifting, using cleaning equipment and working from ladders. You will have a minimum of 6 months working in a cleaning or similar role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out cleaning duties that are in keeping with the standards expected of a national organisation. These duties include activities that involve manual handling, bending, stretching, laundry, the use of chemicals, basic maintenance of equipment and working from ladders.
  • To help at meetings and events including setting up and clearing refreshments/ catering.
  • To keep others safe by adhering to health and safety procedures and carrying out risk assessments as you work.
  • To check and report signs of pest infestation or damage to the fabric or furnishings of the buildings.
