Join one of the country’s fastest growing national law firms. National Legal Service is a well‑established Legal Aid law firm specialising in Family and Children law. We pride ourselves on our extensive training and development of employees and are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace. We are now looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team in our London office. Working hours are Monday – Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm, with a hybrid arrangement of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

As a Legal Assistant you will be supporting the Supervising Solicitor with the initial client contact and legal aid application processing, as well as drafting client care letters.

The Role:
  • Initial contact with client to discuss means and merits process
  • Completing legal aid application forms and submitting through the CCMS portal
  • Contacting courts and third parties
  • Compiling court bundles
Requirements:
  • You must have a law degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of legal aid applications and CCMS/Legal Aid portal
  • Ability to manage demanding and conflicting caseloads
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • A desire to progress your own career
