About the Role NLG Pathways is looking for a compassionate, resilient and motivated Pathways Coordinator to support young people aged 11 to 16 within our Alternative Provision services.
This is a varied role combining student support, mentoring, pastoral care, lesson support, outreach work and administration. You'll play a key part in helping students engage in education, build confidence, develop positive relationships and successfully progress through their learning journey.
What You'll Be Doing Supporting students throughout the day, both in and out of learning sessions
Encouraging engagement, attendance, positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Building strong, professional relationships with young people
Supporting students with SEMH, attendance and engagement challenges
Assisting with enrichment activities, interventions and outreach work
Completing registers, monitoring attendance and supporting administration
Promoting a safe, calm and supportive learning environment
Working closely with colleagues, families and partner schools
About You We're looking for someone with experience working with young people in settings such as:
Education
Alternative Provision
Youth Work
Sports Coaching
Mentoring
Care or Community Services
You'll be calm, patient and resilient, with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping young people overcome barriers to success.
Essential Requirements:
GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
Commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people
Ability to build positive relationships and work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
Experience supporting SEMH, EBSA or behavioural needs
First Aid qualification
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
