We are a vibrant, 10,000 capacity live entertainment venue in the heart of Nottingham that for 25 years has hosted world‑class shows across music, comedy, family, arts, and sports. Our sister venue is the National Ice Centre, where our community comes together for ice sports across figure, synchro, speed skating, and ice hockey. Our purpose is to create joyful experiences.
Our marketing team is responsible for engaging with our one million visitors from the start to the end of their experience with our venues, encouraging them to visit again, and finding new audiences to enjoy our shows and events.
What will you be doing? We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Marketing & Communications Executive with knowledge and experience of the live entertainment industry. You will sit within the Marketing & Communications team and be responsible for supporting the team across a wide range of activities across the Motorpoint Arena and National Ice Centre. Your specific responsibilities can be summarised as follows:
- 60% Event Marketing
- Paid‑for digital marketing: Support and learn from Event Marketing Manager in all aspects of managing marketing campaigns across Meta, Google and other media platforms.
- Organic social media: Support event day content creation across Facebook, Instagram, and other channels, and lead on Tik Tok.
- Arena show announcements & PR: Support event announcement & ticket on‑sale process, including website event management, plus supporting on proactive pre and post event PR.
- E-mails: Manage e‑mail campaigns, including announcements, pre‑sales, multi‑mailers and event mailers.
- Promoter relationships: Support promoter relationships, including leading on sharing marketing opportunities.
- 40% Marketing & Communications team Administration
- Manage tasks such as booking photographers and videographers, supporting Artist Gifting programme, raising financial PO's, managing the team’s training requirements and health and safety obligations, plus supporting and deputising for tasks such as digital screen management.
- Marketing reporting & insight (scorecard): Maintain and develop the Marketing Scorecard in collaboration with the Marketing team, progressing from data population to summarising performance, identifying trends, and providing insight and commentary.
- Event sales data: Own the accuracy, consistency, and usability of the master Events spreadsheet and accompanying historical data, ensuring artist and event information is up to date and accessible for the wider team.
