We’re looking for an experienced Senior Trainer / Assessor to join our Training team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality training and assessment across the construction industry, helping to raise standards and support the next generation of professionals. You’ll be working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, bringing technical expertise and excellent communication skills to create real impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering a mix of technical, health & safety, procedural, and customer service training
- Assessing candidates and supporting qualification programmes
- Working closely with customers to understand their training needs and design tailored solutions
- Ensuring training is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget
- Supporting other trainers and assessors to develop their skills and knowledge
- Maintaining NHBC’s accreditations and contributing to continuous improvement projects
- Representing NHBC Training at industry events and professional forums
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in the construction industry, ideally within new-build housing
- Qualified and experienced in training and / or assessing, or significant experience in developing and delivering training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Extensive knowledge of housebuilding and the legislative framework
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
- Professional membership (or willing to work towards) of a relevant body such as CIOB, CABE, IOSH, RICS, or similar
