We’re looking for a passionate Senior Trainer to lead the delivery of our Brickwork Apprenticeship Programme at Barking. You’ll be at the heart of developing the next generation of skilled bricklayers, shaping training that meets both industry and regulatory standards. Working closely with apprentices, employers and colleagues, you’ll create an engaging learning environment that supports every apprentice to reach their full potential, all while promoting excellence in new-home construction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering high-quality brickwork training and assessment to apprentices.
- Supporting apprentices’ progress through regular reviews, feedback and guidance.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted, ESFA and NHBC quality standards.
- Keeping training materials current and aligned with industry needs.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, partners and awarding bodies.
- Promoting NHBC’s wider training and commercial services portfolio.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in course delivery and learner experience.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience delivering successful apprenticeship training, ideally in construction or bricklaying.
- Strong technical knowledge of modern house building and NHBC Standards.
- Qualified assessor and/or teacher (or working towards).
- Excellent communication and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire.
- Organised, detail-focused and confident managing multiple priorities.
- Passionate about developing others and maintaining high standards in training delivery.
- Full UK driving licence and relevant trade qualification (minimum Level 2 in Bricklaying).
