Year in Industry – Analyst Salary: £23,620 Location:Nationwide Programme start date: June 2025 Closing date:13/12/2024 Join our one-year programme and gain hands-on experience in delivering impactful evaluation insights that directly influence critical business decisions at National Highways. What youll be doing Our one-year Analyst programme offers a fantastic opportunity to: Join a dynamic team within a large nationally important organisation that spends around £5 billion a year to build and improve the strategic road network (SRN). Work in the Strategic Planning and Analysis division of our Customer, Strategy and Communications directorate (CSC) and gain critical experience in evaluating the impact of our road investments, programmes and interventions, helping to deliver insights that influence major decisions, policies and standards. Contribute to frameworks that assess social value, customer experience, and active travel, creating a positive impact on communities and the environment. Help us connect the country by supporting strategic improvements and delivering smarter, more sustainable infrastructure solutions. You can choose any National Highways office location as your base throughout the programme, with the flexibility to travel to other sites as needed. To be successful, youll have: An enthusiastic, collaborative approach to working with others The ability to communicate in different formats with a variety of stakeholders Excellent problem solving / co-ordination skills The ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines A focus on quality and integrity in everything you do A passion for using your analytical skills to see trends, draw conclusions, and communicate options Youll also need to meet these essential entry requirements: Currently studying in your second year of an undergraduate degree (in any subject) and expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:2 Assessment centres will take place in January and February. To be eligible for a placement, you must be available to attend the 2-day induction, 30th June 1st July. All offers for our placement programmes are subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including Right to Work, reference, and DBS criminal record checks. Due to the salary level of this role, we cannot offer sponsorship for the position for individuals that don’t have the Right to Work in the UK. Successful candidates will require Right to Work for the duration of the programme.
