Highways Inspector

About the job. Do you have an inspection background in highways or a related area and looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy being out on site but would like a regular daytime working pattern and more freedom to manage your own workload? We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team in the Nottingham region based as a Highways Inspector, carrying out inspections on our routes and highways. Ideally you should live within an hour\’s commute from the Depot. You will receive a salary of up to £29320 + 12.5% Shift allowance. Reporting to the Inspector Team Manager, you will work individually or with another team member to complete asset condition and safety inspections, survey works and signing off on quality of asset repairs. Working patterns can be flexible by agreement with the team manager but contractually your working hours per week will be 37 hours. There is also a requirement which may involve working unsociable hours to respond to incidents. An on-call uplift payment is included within the basic salary. We also provide a package formal training including NRSWA supervisor and Highway Inspector Lantra / City & Guilds courses.
