Overview
In this role you lead the IPS service across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, guiding clinical and operational delivery to help people with mental health needs gain and sustain meaningful employment. You will foster recovery‑oriented, person‑centred care and ensure fidelity to the IPS approach while building partnerships with health teams, employers and community organisations. You’ll inspire a team, drive service improvement, and represent the service in internal and external settings. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate IPS service delivery across Herefordshire and Worcestershire
- Provide clinical and operational leadership to ensure high‑quality, recovery‑focused care
- Champion person‑centred approaches, meaningful occupation and sustainable employment outcomes
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams
- Supervise and develop staff through appraisal and professional development
- Lead service development, quality improvement initiatives and IPS Fidelity Scale implementation
- Monitor performance and use data and evidence‑based practice to drive improvements
- Represent the IPS service at internal and external meetings to promote employment in recovery
- Manage competing priorities and workforce challenges while safeguarding staff wellbeing
- Model Trust values and foster an inclusive, compassionate team culture
Key requirements
- Current registration with an appropriate professional body (e.g., RMN/OT/Social Worker)
- Postgraduate qualification or extensive relevant experience
- Evidence of leadership and managerial experience
- Experience of working in the community at a leadership level
- Experience supervising/managing staff and basic HR functions
- Experience with audit, research and evidence‑based practice
- Experience teaching, assessing and developing training programmes
- Experience collaborating with other agencies including the voluntary sector
- Experience using coaching to support staff
