Overview
In this role you will manage a defined portfolio of non-clinical NHS contracts to support commissioning, procurement and delivery of enabling services. You will work within the Contracts and Procurement team to oversee contract lifecycle activities, ensuring compliance and effective governance. You will help align provider arrangements with the ICB’s goals of better outcomes, reduced inequalities and value for money. This is a chance to shape how health and care services collaborate across Surrey and Sussex and keep communities at the centre of decisions. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of a portfolio of non-clinical NHS contracts
- Support commissioning, procurement and delivery of corporate, estates, digital and enabling services
- Oversee contract lifecycle processes: implementation, monitoring, variation and review
- Ensure compliance with national guidance, contract terms and local governance
- Draft and maintain contractual documentation and provide oversight on risk and governance
- Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure timely reporting on contract performance
Key requirements
- Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent
- Experience operating in politically sensitive environments
- Experience coordinating projects in complex settings
- Experience managing risks and reporting
- Experience drafting briefing papers and SMT-level communications
- Experience monitoring budgets and business planning
- Understanding of the public sector and healthcare environment
- Knowledge of project principles and tools (e.g., Prince2 Foundation, Microsoft Project)
- Clear and concise communications with senior stakeholders
- Presentation skills for varied internal and external audiences
- Strategic planning across short, medium and long-term horizons
