In this Educational Psychologist role, you contribute to Hampshire Educational Psychology Service, delivering psychological work across schools, colleges, and early years settings to support 0–25-year-olds. You’ll provide statutory and advisory input, work in multi‑agency contexts, and help develop staff through training and supervision. The role spans traded and statutory services, offering broad opportunities to shape practice and outcomes in the region. Responsibilities
- Deliver psychological services across schools, colleges, early years settings, and communities using diverse assessment approaches, consultation, and person-centred planning
- Provide psychological and statutory advice for children and young people 0–25 under the SEND Code of Practice
- Act as consultant to parents, carers, educators and other professionals on psychological matters
- Deliver training and group supervision to staff in schools across Hampshire
- Contribute to multi‑agency support for children and young people
- Support project development, policy implementation, and joint initiatives with partner agencies
- Provide specialist educational psychology advice and capacity-building as part of Hampshire Local Area Partnership’s Experts at Hand across educational and community settings
Key requirements
- Current UK professional registration
- Ability to provide statutory psychological advice under the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience and competence as an Educational Psychologist (as per Candidate Pack)
- UK Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance requirements as part of safeguarding
- Commitment to working within local authority and NHS-related frameworks
