Job summaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic cardiologist with an interest in cardiac imaging to work across the Trust including our acute hospitals and the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). This is a new post which offers an exciting opportunity to develop and expand the department's imaging portfolio. The precise job plan will be tailored to the skills of the applicant alongside the needs of the departmentThis post will support the existing team of interventional and non interventional cardiologists which at present delivers an elective and urgent service including 24/7 Primary PCI. There would be a commitment to a 1:6 weekend general cardiology on call which would include coronary care ward rounds, cardiology ward reviews and hospital referrals.The post has no commitment to Acute General Medicine but does involve participation in a 1:9 Consultant Cardiologist of the week rotaThe post joins a dynamic team of cardiologists in delivering secondary Cardiology services for the North Cumbrian population.
