In this Band 6 role, you will lead vocational support for service users with mental health challenges, helping them navigate work-related barriers and builds tailored return-to-work plans. You join a county-wide Mental Health Employment Service within Community Mental Health Teams to deliver specialist assessments, planning, and employer engagement. You will supervise junior staff, contribute to service development, and maintain high standards of professional practice across locations. Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of service users with complex mental health needs, delivering recovery-focused vocational interventions
Key requirements
- A degree or equivalent in social work, occupational therapy, or psychiatric nursing
- Professional registration to practice in the UK
- Experience in employment-related programmes including assessment, placement and support
- Experience with people with severe mental health issues at band 5 level or equivalent
- Mental health risk assessment and management
- Ability to work with a range of service providers
