Overview
In this MHST Supervisor role, you lead evidence-based interventions in schools across Hertfordshire, supporting children, young people, and families. You’ll provide clinical supervision and operational oversight to MHST colleagues, shaping a thriving, collaborative team culture. The position blends frontline practice with leadership to improve school-based mental health access. You’ll travel within the South area and contribute to an ambitious NHS transformation agenda, driving high-quality, recovery-focused care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate delivery of evidence-based CBT interventions across MHSTs in schools and colleges
- Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health practitioners and supervise the team
- Offer consultations to education staff and support embedding a whole-school wellbeing approach
- Ensure safe, effective, high-quality service delivery and evidence the outcomes of MHST activities
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships and support cross-functional collaboration
- Develop and deliver time-limited interventions for young people in educational settings
Key requirements
- Core postgraduate qualification in low intensity CBT (EMHP, CWP, or accredited CBT qualification)
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience
- Experience or willingness to undertake CYP IAPT or Psychological Therapies supervision training (1-year certificate if none)
- DBS check (enhanced)
- UK professional registration
- Car driver with ability to travel across MHST South area
- Proven ability to manage caseload and work autonomously in the community
