In this Rotational Clinical Pharmacist role you develop expertise across multiple specialties through dynamic rotations, supporting medicines management and clinical care from admission to discharge. You’ll collaborate with ward teams, educate patients, and contribute to clinical audits while advancing your clinical skills. Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care to patients from admission to discharge on the wards
- Participate in the multidisciplinary team at ward level
- Collaborate with Medicines Management Technicians in daily practice
- Provide prescribing advice and support to junior medical staff
- Educate patients about their medicines
- Participate in clinical audit
Key requirements
- MPharm (or equivalent overseas degree)
- GPhC registration
- Desirable: Certificate in Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent)
- Essential knowledge: Prescription Monitoring
- Computer and IT literate
- Need for confidentiality
- Up-to-date clinical pharmacy knowledge
- Up-to-date knowledge of national pharmacy issues
- NHS organisational structure
- Essential experience: Completion of Trainee Pharmacist placement
- Desirable: Completed Hospital Trainee Pharmacist placement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
