Overview
In this Advanced Mammographer role, you will lead and support the breast imaging team, deputising for the Site Lead Radiographer when needed. You will help drive service improvement, ensure efficient, patient‑focused imaging delivery, and coordinate across two hospital sites within the Trust. You’ll work with radiology leaders and cross‑functional teams to meet performance targets and governance standards. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to shape breast imaging services and enhance patient experience in a large NHS setting.

Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Site Lead Radiographer and oversee operational activities
- Support governance and participate in senior team decision‑making
- Coordinate imaging services across the Trust
- Contribute to planning and implementing service developments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain patient pathways
- Monitor progress against objectives and support achievement of targets
- Provide cross‑site support to the radiography department
- Foster engagement and efficient, cost‑effective service delivery
Key requirements
- HCPC registered Radiographer with BSc or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography
- Postgraduate certificate/diploma in Mammography
- Extensive experience in Mammography in a clinical setting
- Leadership and service/people management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Desirable: working knowledge of CRIS systems and change management principles
