Overview
In this role you will support the Clinical Administration team to keep Myton Hospices’ clinical services running smoothly.
You will assist healthcare staff and patients’ families, acting as a key contact across sites and during staff absences.
Your work enables efficient operations, accurate record-keeping, and timely communication for care delivery and patient support.

Responsibilities
- Provide cross-site administrative support to ensure key tasks are covered during colleague absences
- Cover for the Clinical Administration Manager as needed
- Support Medical Team: manage staffing inbox, update Master Rota, prepare weekly timetable and handover materials, circulate patient feedback
- Assist Caldicott Guardian with note redaction and responses to requests
- Plan placements and visits for medical students; support inductions
- Coordinate MDT meetings (South Warwickshire and Coventry) and manage patient correspondence
- Maintain and develop the EMIS patient electronic record system; troubleshoot day-to-day issues
- Archive patient notes (paper and electronic) per policy
- Handle DWP forms and Private Medical Insurance requests; update team handbook and records
- Liaise with NHS healthcare professionals to obtain patient information
- Support business continuity plans and cross-team IT/data tasks
- Be flexible regarding place of work across Myton sites
- Key requirements
- Experience providing admin support in a busy clinical setting
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise efficiently
- Strong IT skills and experience with MS Office; familiarity with EMIS or patient databases is preferred
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)
