Overview
In this role you will strengthen quality, governance and risk management across Alliance Medical, partnering with senior leaders to drive the Quality & Risk programme. You will oversee incidents, complaints, risk management and policy development, ensuring services stay safe, compliant and continuously improving while aligning with regulatory standards including CQC and BS70000 where applicable. You will lead incident and risk management processes and maximise the effectiveness of Datix systems, shaping the future of healthcare quality. This field-based position requires travel to our services and offers a meaningful opportunity to influence safety performance and practice.
Responsibilities
- Support and guide risk management across the business, including risk assessments, risk registers, incident reporting, investigations and lessons learned
- Manage and administer risk and incident systems (Datix) to promote safety and quality
- Analyze themes in risks and incidents to inform reporting and improvement
- Support education and training on Quality and Risk issues impacting the business
- Assist with handling Level One complaints, escalation, and lessons learned
- Support Heads of Quality & Risk in delivering strategy for safe services
- Administer policies and procedures to ensure corporate compliance
- Develop and review policies and procedures reflecting national guidance for designated areas
- Represent Alliance Medical in governance committee meetings
- Attend regional, quality & risk, corporate and external stakeholder/site meetings to promote Alliance Medical
Key requirements
- Clinical Practitioner or relevant clinical experience
- Knowledge of Quality and Risk standards in healthcare
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (IRMER, CQC, QSI, BS70000)
- Evidence of innovation in clinical practice
- Comfort operating across multiple sites and large geographical area
- Ongoing professional development
- Ability to self-direct, make decisions, generate ideas
- Strong IT, communication and presentation skills
- UK driving license; extensive travel may be required
