Overview
As a Consultant Community Paediatrician you will join a dynamic clinical team to support neurodevelopmental pathways and deliver high-quality care across Warwickshire.
You will handle general, chronic and complex paediatric conditions, including neuro-disability and safeguarding, in hospital and community settings.
The role includes teaching, service development, and multi-professional collaboration, with flexible site allocation and opportunities to influence regional pathways.

Responsibilities
- Consultant assessment, treatment and advice for general, chronic and complex paediatric conditions
- Manage neuro-disability, child protection and complex behavioural concerns
- Contribute to local pathway planning and clinics, including Special School Clinic
- Teaching, training and educational supervision of junior medical staff and students
- Support service development, governance, audits and research activities
- Provide cross-professional collaboration and development of new working models
- Support flexible working patterns and contribute to workforce planning
- Key requirements
- Full GMC registration
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- Inclusion in GMC Specialist Register for Paediatrics or within 6 months of CCT
- APLS and NLS Providers (current)
- Paediatric Specialty Training and 3+ years general Paediatrics experience
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection, Level 3 safeguarding training
- Ability to resuscitate critically ill children and neonates
- Experience in clinical governance and audit
- Desirable: higher degree and teaching/training experience
