Overview
In this role you lead the Children's and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) community nursing team, ensuring high-quality care and standard setting. You work within an integrated multi-disciplinary environment, with responsibilities spanning care planning, referral management, and delivering safe, effective services across sites. You will drive service development, governance and performance, while remaining flexible to meet service needs and travel requirements. This is a pivotal role in transforming CYPMHS delivery.

Responsibilities
- Line management and supervision of the CYPMHS team
- Develop and maintain clinical standards; monitor care quality and corrective action
- Coordinate care packages and holistic needs assessment for children and families
- Lead on referral management, information sharing and performance reporting
- Contribute to policy development, clinical governance and infection control
- Participate in service development, national clinical networks and Practice development initiatives
- Recruitment, induction, staff development, and ongoing workforce management
- Manage budgets, resources and reporting requirements; ensure financial governance
- Maintain high standards of documentation, records and information resources
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, social care and voluntary/statutory partners
- Support training and ongoing professional development; ensure mandatory training compliance
- Lead change management and improvement initiatives within CYPMHS
- Ensure safe safeguarding and adherence to health and safety requirements
Key requirements
- Line management experience in children's wellbeing or CYPMHS settings
- Senior role experience in similar services with clinical care improvement responsibility
- Knowledge of current community children's legislation
- Willingness to travel within the area to meet service needs
- UK professional registration in a relevant clinical field
- Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver within a fast-paced environment
- Experience with data/reporting and budget management
