Overview

In this role you will provide administrative support to the Community Equipment Service and act as the first point of contact for staff and the public. You will manage in-house logistics, stock control, and the Elms system to coordinate equipment delivery and maintenance. The position supports services across Halton, St Helens and Warrington, contributing to independent living and end-of-life care. It offers flexible working and a chance to work in a patient-centered, collaborative NHS team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive admin and clerical support to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Be first point of contact for service users and staff, resolving queries
  • Manage in-house ordering, distribution, and stock control systems
  • Maintain equipment servicing records and ensure servicing aligns with procedures
  • Use Elms system to handle equipment details, deliveries, collections and stock control
  • Process referrals and retrieve/update patient demographics as required
  • Prioritise workload to meet timescales and KPIs
  • Coordinate with internal/external staff to ensure timely equipment delivery/collection
  • Liaise with patients and professionals to provide non-clinical advice and information
  • Support new starters and provide daily Elms ordering support
  • Manage stock at satellite stores and maintain accurate stock records
  • Adhere to Trust policies and contribute to departmental improvements
  • Handle general office duties such as filing, mail, scanning, and archiving
  • Log voicemail messages and respond promptly
  • Ensure paperless office processes via barcoding and scanning

  • Right to work in the UK and sponsorship considerations as applicable
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check requirements
