These posts form part of the expansion of our consultant workforce, with the aim of moving towards overnight cover. Successful applicants will join a team of over 30 ED Consultants, working a 24-week whole time equivalent rota to provide senior medical staff presence on site from 08:00 to 00:00, including weekend working on a one-in-eight basis. The team works equally across 2 sites, with Pinderfields Hospital being our Major Emergency Department and designated Major Trauma Unit. Both Dewsbury and Pinderfields have 24/7 separate dedicated childrens EDs. Main duties of the jobThe main duties of the post will include: Providing high quality care to patients attending the Emergency Department Ensuring that all patients receive rapid assessment, treatment and clinical decision making supporting the sustained delivery of the Emergency Care Standard Providing clinical leadership and supervision to other clinicians working within the Emergency Dept.
